item auto-renewals

Eligible library materials checked out from the Manchester District Library (MDL) now automatically renew three days prior to the due date, saving patrons time and reducing the occurrence of late fees. A list of ineligible items can be found on the Borrowing and Fines page.

library cards - expiration

If your library card has expired or is about to expire, please call (734) 428-8045 during regular business hours and speak to a staff member. In most cases, we will be able to process card renewals over the phone or through curbside service.

LIBRARY CARDS - NEW PATRONS

In most cases you can sign up for a new library card through our curbside service. Call ahead at (734) 428-8045 to let us know you'd like to fill out an application and get a card. For more information view Library Cards and PINs.

other questions or concerns?

  • If you have need of library services not outlined here, please speak to a staff member to determine if accommodations can be made. The best way to reach MDL staff is to call (734) 428-8045 during regular business hours. If you prefer email, use the contact form on the MDL website or send a message to manchesterlibraryrequest@gmail.com; email responses can sometimes take up to 24 business hours.
  • Our goal is to maintain service to the community as safely as possible for our patrons and our staff. At this time, MDL hopes to re-engage in-person services as soon as public health conditions improve.
