The Family History Guild is for anyone interested in genealogy. Meetings are monthly through the school year, with additional events planned as desired by the group.

Each regular meeting focuses on a particular topic or problem relevant to genealogy research. The 2011-2012 list of topics can be found here: Family History Guild Meeting Schedule.

To be added to the FHG email list, please complete this form.

For meeting dates, view the library event calendar.

                                  Book Discussion Group

The library book discussion group meets the 4th Wednesday of the month, except for November/December (check the calendar for the next meeting). The group is open to all interested parties. Books are selected twice a year, with input from both current group members and library staff.

The group maintains an active presence at GoodReads, a useful site offering book reviews, discussion panels, reading lists, and more.

No pre-registration is required to attend. Additional copies of the book of the month are available for checkout at the circulation desk. For more information, call or email Director Heather Sturm.

The first thing you should know is, Knit Night isn't just for knitters! It's for anyone who'd like to drop in and work on a project in the company of other dedicated and knowledgeable crafters. Most of the group does knit, so if you're a beginning knitter and need help, there's someone available to answer questions. There are also attendees who quilt, crochet, embroider, do needlework, and so on -- and they're always happy to welcome new people. No pre-registration required; contact Heather Sturm if you have questions or need further information.
